Vietnam War veterans are cheered on by volunteers as they parade down a red-carpet into a Vietnam War Commemoration program March 29, 2016 at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, PA. More than 400 Vietnam War era veterans attended the event sponsored by the Association of the United States Army and Vietnam War Commemoration partners Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Troop Support employees help welcome home Vietnam vets

PHILADELPHIA — The welcome home was worth the 50-year wait, one veteran said following a Vietnam War Commemoration program March 29. DLA Troop Support employees helped cheer for more than 400 Vietnam vets as they paraded down a red carpet to the ceremony.

DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, employee Ikaika Anderson has been named DLA Distribution’s Employee of the Quarter for first quarter, fiscal year 2016.

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, employee Ikaika Anderson has been named DLA Distribution’s Employee of the Quarter for first quarter, fiscal year 2016, for his performance and teamwork as a supply technician on the Inventory Support Team.

Richmond price analyst named DLA Aviation’s February Employee of the Month

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s February Employee of the Month is Dawn Hampton. She serves as a price analyst for DLA Aviation’s Procurement Process Support Directorate’s Pricing Division in Richmond, Virginia. DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day presented Hampton the award during a ceremony March 28.

The HQC Health Unit offers a variety of services, free of charge, to all employees of HQC tenant organizations.

Busch addresses alma mater; urges interagency partnership, faster response

WASHINGTON, D.C. — DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch returned to the National Defense University March 28, where he discussed the importance of strategic sustainment in today’s dynamic environment and outlined the role support agencies like DLA can provide.

DLA Aviation employee Comeicha Wells works in the purchasing acquisition career field and is Level II certified.

DLA Director visits, praises employees at DLA Disposition Services

Battle Creek, Michigan — Fresh from his March 12-21 tour of the Pacific, Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch traveled to Battle Creek, Michigan, to hear presentations on the DLA Disposition Services Annual Operating Plan and conduct a town hall session with DLA employees.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Command Support Directorate hosted 20 personnel from the 192nd Supply Chain Management Squadron from the Virginia Air National Guard, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, March 16, 2016, at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of the guard’s visit was to lean about DLA Aviation processes, meeting customer needs, ordering parts, and getting parts to the warfighter on time.

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Command Support Directorate hosted a DLA Aviation mission briefing event, March 16, 2016 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, for 20 personnel from the 192nd Supply Chain Management Squadron, Virginia Air National Guard, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John King hosts his final Town Hall in the Building 20 Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Columbus. The March 23 event recognized several associates for outstanding performance in the previous quarter and served as a kickoff for the 2016 DLA Culture Survey.

International Leadership course visits DLA Distribution
