DLA Energy Small Business participates in Red Hill Procurement Readiness Workshop

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — In support of on-going efforts to close the Navy’s Red Hill fuel storage facility, the Department of the Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs held a virtual Procurement Readiness Workshop July 26-27.

The light blue shallow water platforms of the Bahamas, which are separated by very deep dark blue channels, make for a striking scene. The Bahamas are one of the few regions where calcium carbonate precipitates directly out of the water, as the mineral aragonite, to form the coral reef islands.
