Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year for San Joaquin County

Firefighter/Engineer Joseph Guerrero and Police Sgt. Ken-Ken DeVera from Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management San Joaquin, California, were recognized as San Joaquin County’s 2022 Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year during a community recognition dinner hosted by the Tracy American Legion Post 172, March 26. Guerrero will now compete for Regional Firefighter of the Year honors.

The 2022 Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exhibition concluded April 7 following a day filled with informative speakers from defense and industry, collaborative breakout sessions and discussion panels focused on improving communication and relationships with industry partners, as well as identifying new opportunities to support the Warfighter.

Defense Supplier Conference returns to Columbus, Ohio

After a four-year hiatus, Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime and the National Defense Industry Association brought the DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference and Exhibition back to downtown Columbus, Ohio, April 6-7. More than 800 defense industry representatives packed a ballroom in the Greater Columbus Convention Center for first day speakers, including Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment Steven Morani, DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic, and DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry.
