DSCC police reunite missing man with family

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Supply Center Columbus police responded to a call at the Yearling Road Gate Jan. 18 after a disoriented, elderly man walked onto the installation trying to get to his father’s house.

Partnership streamlines depot maintenance for ICBM wings

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force Materiel Command website — The 309th Missile Maintenance Group and Defense Logistics Agency recently worked together on an initiative to establish a “retail-like” support structure in order to stock, store and distribute parts and supplies to the Air Force’s three ICBM wings.

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Combat Command website — The F-16CM Fighting Falcons assigned to Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, will reach a point where they will need their parts transplanted or repaired to keep them airborne, and it is the job of the Airmen assigned to the 20th Maintenance Group to troubleshoot and take appropriate maintenance actions.

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Fairchild Air Force Base website — In November 2016, the 92nd Maintenance Squadron became one of the first squadrons Air Force wide to receive an inventory vending machine for the periodic-inspection support section.

Dustin Wiley, a wheeled mechanic at Production Plant Barstow, Marine Depot Maintenance Command, works on the engine that powers the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All Terrain Vehicles, or M-ATV, currently being repaired and upgraded at the Plant Jan. 12, 2017. Wiley is a former Army National Guardsman who served in Afghanistan as a mechanic. He said he has driven and worked on the M-ATVs and knows the heavily built troops transports save lives.
