SAN DIEGO, California — James E. McVey, a materials handler supervisor at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, Calif., will celebrate a major accomplishment this month. He will have dedicated 50 years of his life to serving the United States of America.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution employees and leadership gathered to wish a collective “Happy Birthday” to the U.S. Marines Corps November 10, in honor of the service’s 240th birthday. November 10, 1775 was the day that the Continental Marines, later renamed the United States Marine Corps, was established and each year the nation celebrates United States Marine Corps Day.

DLA Director touts resiliency, performance-based logistics at town hall

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch stressed the importance of resiliency and cited employees’ achievements toward goals outlined in the agency’s 2015-2022 Strategic Plan in a Town Hall at the McNamara Headquarters Complex Nov. 2.

Mary Jo Dust earned the Superior Civilian Service Award for her work while deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. She was recognized by Navy Rear Adm. John King’s at his DLA Land and Maritime’s commander’s Town Hall Oct. 21.
