Leadership academy prepares Aviation employees to take charge

RICHMOND, Va. — With a focus on developing future leaders, the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation hosted its Aviation Leadership Academy from April 16-18, 2024, at the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond. The three-day event catered specifically to GS-11 to GS-13 employees aspiring to supervisory roles, bringing together nearly 100 DLA Aviation personnel eager to enhance their leadership skills.

DLA Leaders tour Aviation HQ, learn about vital programs

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation leaders briefed DLA leadership during an April 15 visit to Defense Supply Center Richmond. Army Lt. Gen. Mark T. Simerly, director, Defense Logistics Agency, and Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. Alvin R. Dyer, senior enlisted leader, DLA, spent the day learning about some of the top priority projects and touring some facilities frequented by Aviation employees.

Aviation team observes SAAPM, other activities set for later in April

RICHMOND, Va. — Activities promoting the education and prevention of sexual assault are ongoing within the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation community. Katerina Leverette, Aviation’s sexual assault response coordinator, said the events so far have been valuable in spreading awareness of National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month to the greater Defense Supply Center Richmond team.
