DLA results on federal survey show favorable employee opinions of agency

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency employees view their organization more favorably than employees of many other Defense Department or federal government agencies, according to survey results released in early October. The Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey is administered by the Office of Personnel Management each year. The 2015 results were released Oct. 6.

3D printing could help DLA cut costs, improve parts support

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency is evaluating whether 3D printing, a process commercial manufacturers use to produce everything from prosthetics to airplane parts, could lower the cost and reduce lead times for hard-to-source, obsolete and back-ordered parts.
