The Insider Threat Program is vital in assisting in the detection of potential risk Indicators and concerning behaviors, discouraging potential insider threats with security countermeasures, and mitigating risks with early detection and intervention to remove individuals form the critical pathway. Every year throughout the month of September, agencies like the Defence Logistics Agency observe and educate its employees on the unfortunate realities of insider threat. This years theme to National Insider Threat Awareness (NITAM) is exactly what the DLA Insider Threat Team is here to do: Detect, Deter, and Mitigate.
