Distribution’s aide-de-camp receives Defense Meritorious Service Medal

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Army Capt. Michael Thomas, aide-de-camp to the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander, was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his skillful planning and management of the General’s day-to-day mission requirements.

Restoration Advisory Board members, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond, Virginia leadership, and concerned citizens came together during the Restoration Advisory Board’s quarterly meeting July 11, 2016, held at the Bensley Community Center in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

DLA’s senior enlisted advisor visits Distribution San Diego command staff

SAN DIEGO, California — Defense Logistics Agency’s Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin visited DLA Distribution San Diego, Calif., on July 6 to meet with site commander, Navy Capt. John Soracco and the command staff.

The 43-year career of Randy Taft, DLA’s first senior enlisted leader, was celebrated July 15 in a ceremony by numerous dignitaries, DLA employees and Taft family members.

Former San Joaquin deputy to be inducted into DLA Hall of Fame

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — David C. Ennis, former deputy commander at DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., will be one of the newest inductees to the DLA Hall of Fame in honor of his 39 years of exceptional service.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Monica Warren is the executive assistant to the DLA Aviation Deputy Commander Charlie Lilli. She has been with DLA Aviation in Richmond, Virginia, for three months.

San Joaquin deputy retires after 45 years of Federal service

SAN JOAQUIN, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif.’s deputy commander has retired after 45 years of Federal service. In honor of his dedication to the organization, Paul Balash III received the DLA Exceptional Civilian Service Award.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Deneen L.M. Diggs, chief of Missions and Manpower within DLA Distribution’s J9 Expeditionary Logistics, graduated salutatorian from the Martin Luther King Leadership Development Institute of Harrisburg, Pa., on June 26.

Malaysia, E.J. and Treyvon are ready to swing on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey during DLA Troop Support’s Family Day July 7. Thousands of employees and their guests spent the day at water parks and on amusement rides during the annual gathering.
