Mildenhall maintenance innovation slashes order time by 98 percent

Ninety long days to place the order in the cart, hit ‘pay,’ and wait for the package to arrive.

From nothing to something – Cargo City takes shape

ABDULLAH AL-MUBARAK AIR BASE, Kuwait — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Air Forces Central Command website — Construction is nearly complete on ‘Cargo City,’ a new operating location for U.S. and coalition forces to conduct aerial port operations in Kuwait. This aerial port will continue to serve as a major-military logistics point, and also functions as the largest aerial port of debarkation in the Middle East.

109th AW donates computers to Anderson Center for Autism

STRATTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.Y. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 109th Airlift Wing website — The Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg, New York, has about 100 new computers thanks to the 109th Airlift Wing and the Department of Defense’s computers for learning (CFL) program.

Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, chain a container to a pallet during a 48-hour Mount-Out Exercise (MOX) in Okinawa, Japan June 19. The MOX simulates one of the core capabilities of a construction battalion to deploy an air detachment, along with construction equipment, within 48-hours to any required location around the globe. NMCB 5 is forward deployed to execute construction, humanitarian and foreign assistance, and theater security cooperation support of United States Pacific Command.

This port directly supports a multi-national coalition conducting missions for Operation Inherent Resolve.

Pacer Classic III mods give T-38 new life

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Hill Air Force Base website — Located at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, the 575th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron T-38 Talon depot maintenance team has been providing current upgrade modifications known as Pacer Classic III since 2015 and have to date successfully completed them on 40 T-38 Talon aircraft.
