Artist receives DLA Installation Management Cultural Achievement Award for patriotic fitness center mural

Jan. 28 Roxanne Lenig was presented a DLA Installation Management Cultural Achievement Award by site director Robert Montefour in recognition of her fitness center mural. It was the first time in the history of the award that the awardee had been nominated by both the organization and a peer.

Riverview Golf Course Unveils Monument in Honor of 60th Anniversary

Susquehanna MWR kicks off Commander’s Cup with “Armed Forces Day” 5K Run/Walk

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — In recognition of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month and to kick off the 2019 Commander’s Cup Series, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosted an “Armed Forces Day” 5K Fun Run/Walk May 16. Forty-four participants competed in the run/walk.

Trout Derby Remains Popular Over the Years

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — More than 100 participated in the 2019 Morale, Welfare and Recreation sponsored children’s trout derby held Saturday, May 4, at the Children’s Trout Pond located off perimeter road at Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna.Children, ages 6-12 years, and their families were invited to come out and fish a well-stocked pond at this free annual event.

Family Advocacy and MWR Susquehanna bring awareness to Domestic Violence with Run/Walk event
