Aviation employees unite in support of awareness and preventing sexual assault

RICHMOND, Va. — Employees from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, the Army’s 80th Training Command, the Virginia National Guard Headquarters and DLA Aviation at San Diego took part in enterprisewide events in support of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia and Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California, April 26 -27.

Commander sees firsthand support DLA Aviation at San Diego provides to the warfighter

Richmond, Va. — San Diego team members from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation gathered April 22 to welcome Navy Commander Fred Albesa as their new commander, while saying farewell to Navy Commander Maxine Gardner who assumed command in 2020.

Respected and highly impressive performers earn DLA Aviation’s employee of the month honors for January

RICHMOND, Va. — Reggie Sanders, a sustainment specialist within the Planning Division at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, and June Leeper, , a contracting specialist within the Emergency Contract Support Division at DLA Aviation at San Diego, California, were selected as DLA Aviation’s Employees of the Month for January. Leeper won in the general schedule 10-13 category. Sanders took the award in the GS 1-9 category.

RICHMOND, Va — Richard Armstrong and Tyrone Paige were selected as Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Employees of the Month for August. Armstrong won in the general schedule (GS) 10-13 category. Paige took the award in the GS 1-9 category.
