South Korea military base receives Pfizer vaccines from DLA for DoD adolescents

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — The first shipment of minus 80-degrees Celsius Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines from Defense Logistics Agency Distribution arrived at U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center-Korea at Camp Carroll in Waegwan, South Korea, May 17 for Defense Department dependents on the peninsula.

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — As part of the Defense Department’s mission to distribute COVID-19 vaccines, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea is coordinating with DLA Indo-Pacific, U.S. Army Medical Material Center Korea, FedEx and U.S. Forces Korea Provost Marshall Office to ensure successful delivery of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to U.S. Forces Korea.

Flint DLA Shipping Point of the Year award for their efforts through 2019, all done while experiencing personnel shortages through either promotion or permanent change of station orders.
