Professionalism and teamwork: September employees of the month instrumental in meeting the DLA mission

Christine Colantoni, an equipment specialist in the Customer Operations Directorate, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation - Cherry Point, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Cherry Point, North Carolina, and Traci Marshall, a contracting officer team lead in the Strategic Acquisition Programs Directorate, DLA Aviation at Warner Robins, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, were both named DLA Aviation Employee of the Month for the month of September.

Hardware team shares skills, culture to support COVID-19 demand areas

How can I help? A simple question, but one that speaks to character. It’s exactly the question that the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Industrial Hardware team proudly asked to support their partners during the COVID-19 pandemic. Planning, coordination, flexibility key ingredients to DLA providing warfighters Thanksgiving dinner

For more than 50 years, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has been providing traditional Thanksgiving food to field kitchens, dining facilities and galleys in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and other locations where service members are deployed. While the logistics of getting the ingredients to the table were more complicated this year, warfighters will still have a traditional Thanksgiving meal this week.

DLA support to nursing homes: A ‘challenging, humbling’ success

The Defense Logistics Agency overcame hurdles to support the nation’s demand for personal protective equipment for at-risk populations early in the coronavirus pandemic. As one of the U.S.’s most susceptible populations, the elderly became a primary focus of DLA Troop Support’s Construction and Equipment supply chain when the Department of Health and Human Service requested two tranches of pre-packaged lifesaving protective items for 15,455 nursing homes nationwide.
