MWR holds second annual Bellwood Bash at DSCR

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Office rang in its second annual Bellwood Bash Family and Friends Day Aug. 14, welcoming guests to enjoy food, DJ music, kids’ activities and a 5K fun run/walk on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

DLA volunteer efforts to account for real property in full swing

Richmond, Va. — A major volunteer effort has been underway to assess and account for as many as 18,000 real property assets across 550 sites, and Defense Logistics Agency Aviation personnel are playing a crucial role in the process. The first site visits began in May 2018 and are expected to end Sept. 15. The remaining months of 2018 will be used by DLA headquarters to validate the results.

Aviation buyers use reverse auctioning to save taxpayer money

Construction Begins on DSCR’s New East Gate

Richmond, Va. — In an effort to comply with current anti-terrorism standards, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond is embarking on a $6 million project to replace the East Gate. The new gate will be located near the former housing area adjacent to Jefferson Davis Highway on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The work began this month and is expected to be completed by August 2019.

Move in dates for DLA Aviation Operations Center right around the corner

Richmond, Va. — Close to three years after construction began on Phase I of the new 252,000 square-foot, five-story glass and brick Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Operations Center, tentative move in dates have been set.
