Aviation buyers use reverse auctioning to save taxpayer money

More than 50 people attended one of three Defense Logistics Agency Aviation reverse auctions training sessions held in the McKeever Auditorium on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, July 19. Dozens more from around the DLA Enterprise caught the training via video teleconferencing.

Construction Begins on DSCR’s New East Gate

In an effort to comply with current anti-terrorism standards, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Operations Richmond is embarking on a $6 million project to replace the East Gate. The new gate will be located near the former housing area adjacent to Jefferson Davis Highway on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The work began this month and is expected to be completed by August 2019.

DLA Aviation awards U-2 support contract for Pacer Dragon Program

Preparing to pilot the Air Force’s U-2 Dragon Lady is much like suiting up to go into space.The Dragon Lady is a single-seat, single-engine, high-altitude aircraft that provides high-altitude/ near space reconnaissance and all-weather surveillance and reconnaissance, day or night, and delivers critical imagery and signals intelligence.
