Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, was recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration as a Star Worksite in safety under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program Dec. 12, 2016 in a ceremony in the Frank Lotts Conference Center on the installation. The OSHA VPP recognizes employers and workers in federal agencies and in private industry who have implemented effective safety and health management systems and maintain injury and illness rates below national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for the respective industries.

DSCR employees adopt 113 angels from Chesterfield County and Richmond City Public Schools

RICHMOND, Va. — There was an air of excitement on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, at the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Richmond’s fire station Dec. 8 as employees drove through the fire truck bay dropping off gifts for the 113 angels adopted from Chesterfield County and Richmond City Public Schools.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation's employee Troy Judkins is a customer support specialist in the Priority Support Cell of the Customer Operations Directorate at Ogden, Utah. Judkins enjoys being part of an elite team of professionals who are dedicated to supporting the warfighter.

RICHMOND, Va. — November is Native American Heritage Month. It is a time to celebrate American Indian culture and contributions. Timothy Abdella, a Defense Logistics Agency Aviation quality assurance specialist, shares the story of his family's rich Yankton Sioux heritage and the obstacles they have overcome.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation's employee working group committee and the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Office presented a "Bystander Awareness Day" event to emphasize the problems that arise when employees experience bullying in the workplace. Attendees are shown here in one of the four breakout sessions titled: bullying; sexual harrassment, age discrimination or disparate treatment to discuss ways to help victims and prevention strategies.

Bystander Awareness Day event held in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — To improve culture, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Employee Working Group and the Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Office hosted Bystander Awareness Day to emphasize the problems that arise when employees experience bullying in the workplace.

RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency employees at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, received a glass pebble as they filled the Lotts Conference Center Nov. 15, celebrating the past year’s accomplishments in training the workforce in resiliency tools to succeed personally and professionally in ever-changing environments.
