Susquehanna’s Dixon awarded 2017 Spirit of Courage Award

Sailors joining the Navy today have initiative and commitment that will make the service’s future as successful as its past, the Defense Logistics Agency’s senior enlisted leader said during a celebration of the Navy’s 242nd birthday at the McNamara Headquarters Complex Oct. 17.

DLA Distribution celebrates Navy birthday

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — To honor the United States Navy’s 242nd birthday, DLA Distribution employees gathered together to sing the Navy service song and cut a birthday cake.

DLA Distribution Albany ships over 80,000 meals to feed those affected by hurricanes

ALBANY, Ga. — Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 major hurricane forming Aug. 17, and making landfall in Southern Texas on Aug. 25, was an extremely destructive Atlantic hurricane, becoming the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year drought in which no hurricanes had made landfall at such an intensity in the country.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Navy Cmdr. Eric Lockett, executive officer and operations officer, Navy Customer Facing Division, Customer Operations Directorate, was selected in June 2017 to command DLA Energy Pacific at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Lockett selected to command DLA Energy Pacific

Richmond, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Navy Cmdr. Eric Lockett, executive officer and operations officer, Navy Customer Facing Division, Customer Operations Directorate, was selected in June 2017 to command DLA Energy Pacific at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Lockett’s current assignment is in Richmond, Virginia.
