Keep Them Flying

Fort Belvoir, VA — DLA Aviation helps sustain warfighter support and save taxpayer dollars by keeping several dependable veteran aircraft in the air and flying missions.

In order to assess the acceptability of the new torque converter as an alternate item for the present one a fit check was needed to insure compatibility with the Humvee engine and transmission. Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Brown with the Ohio Army National Guard conducts a transportation bracket fit test showing the seated torque converter has the same axial relationship with the transmission flange as the current item.

A Proper Fit

Fort Belvoir, VA — A critical part was in short supply, with few replacements available. DLA Land and Maritime worked to help develop a hybrid part that is quicker to produce and meets all specifications.
