DLA fuels THAAD deployment to Romania, helps maintain missile defense

KAISERSLAUERN, Germany — When a missile defense site in Romania went down for a systems update this summer, a Defense Logistics Agency team in the region worked to fuel the replacement system and help ensure the U.S. fulfilled its commitment to NATO’s ballistic missile defense efforts in Europe.

Virginia Wagner, a 13-year Defense Logistics Agency Distribution employee, is a new member of the DLA Distribution Expeditionary Team. Wagner helped the team get on the road to the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Incident Staging Base at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, Aug. 28 in support of relief efforts for Hurricane Dorian.
