C&T welcomes new leaders to continue warfighter support mission

PHILADELPHIA — Continuing a legacy of warfighter support is just one of the shared goals of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles’ two newest senior leaders, C&T Director Air Force Col. Matthew T. Harnly and Deputy Director David Johns .

U.S. Army Central Soldiers welcome and assist Afghan evacuees as they arrive and process through locations in Kuwait. DLA Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles supply chain expedited shipping of approximately 5,000 disaster blankets and 90 general purpose tents, which hold up to 10 people each, were delivered to Camp Arifjan September 3, 2021.

DLA provides tents, blankets to civilians evacuating Afghanistan

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles supply chain expedited shipping of tents and blankets to Special Immigrant Visa recipients and civilians evacuating Afghanistan, a week before the Sept. 10 required delivery date.

DLA Troop Support provides masks to Philadelphia community centers

PHILADELPHIA — As part of President Joe Biden’s strategy to stop the spread of COVID-19, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support provided over 400,000 adult and youth face masks in May to 16 Philadelphia community centers.

Clothing and Textiles works overtime to support White House masks mission

PHILADELPHIA — To provide more than 25 million cloth face masks to communities hard-hit by the pandemic, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles team members expedited contracting processes and worked hundreds of overtime hours.

Clothing and Textiles team provides cloth face masks to Army recruits

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles provided nearly 16,000 operational camouflage pattern face masks to Army recruit training centers across the country, in time for initial uniform issuance March 1.

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency’s Clothing and Textiles supply chain kicked off the sixth annual Joint Advanced Planning Brief for Industry virtually with a series of webinars Nov. 4.

C&T director promoted to Air Force colonel

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles Director Air Force Col. Justin Swartzmiller was promoted from lieutenant colonel during a socially distanced ceremony at the Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia Oct. 28.

Recruits at the Army recruit training center in Fort Jackson, South Carolina receive improved hot weather combat uniforms during initial issuance for the first time Oct. 2, 2020. DLA Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles supply chain provided about 10,000 sets of improved hot-weather combat uniform, or IHWCU, coats and trousers to recruit training centers across the country by Oct. 21, 2020.

DLA provides lighter hot-weather uniform to Army recruits

PHILADELPHIA — Army recruits will have the option of wearing a lighter hot-weather uniform as they receive their initial issue bags thanks to Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support.

U.S. Army soldiers from the California Army National Guard’s Task Force Rattlesnake out of Redding, California, put out a fire Sept. 1, 2020, near Scott’s Valley, California, during the CZU Lightning Complex Fire in Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties. DLA Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles team provided more than 700 boots to the Army National Guard as of Sept. 17, 2020 in support of mobilized firefighters combating West Coast wildland fires.

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Clothing and Textiles team provided boots to the Army National Guard in support of mobilized firefighters combating West Coast wildland fires.
