USAF begins new Egyptian F110 upgrade program

A big step forward to modernize the Egyptian Air Force F-16 “Fighting Falcon” fleet will take place July 25th in San Antonio, Texas. United States Air Force contracting, through Defense Logistics Agency-Aviation’s Strategic Acquisition Program, has awarded an Egyptian long-term F110 propulsion sustainment contract to GE Aviation. The ceremony will recognize the enterprise collaboration with a focus on Egyptian F-16 mission readiness.

DLA Aviation parts support ensures tankers available for aerial refueling mission

The Air Force’s aerial refueling capability recently expanded with the delivery of the KC-46A Pegasus aircraft to McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas, in January. Bill Knepshield has been working to ensure Defense Logistics Agency has parts support in place for the Pegasus since early 2014.

DLA Strategic Plan amended, available online

The Defense Logistics Agency Strategic Plan has been amended to include the addition of three objectives under the Warfighter Support line of effort and one under Always Accountable, as well as two new categories: Cross-Cutting Efforts and Critical Capabilities.
