San Joaquin Leadership participates in OPERATION BACKPACK

TRACY, Calif. — DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California, senior leadership partnered with veterans groups from Sandia and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to support military children from Travis Air Force Base and Camp Parks through OPERATION BACKPACK. The San Joaquin team took the opportunity to sponsor two kids from Travis.

San Joaquin’s Pine retires after 35 years of dedicated service

TRACY, California — Cheryl Pine, formerly O’Brien, is saying goodbye to the DLA family upon her retirement from federal service after 35 years of dedicated service to the nation, DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California and the warfighter. She is leaving her systems team where she has served as the Systems Division chief for the Inventory and Support Services Group since 2014.

DLA San Joaquin hosts Expeditionary Academy

TRACY, California — Members of the DLA Distribution Expeditionary Team assigned to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, in concert with partners from DLA Distribution Expeditionary Logistics and DLA Training, hosted an Expeditionary Academy Jan. 17 through 27 for the DLA Distribution Operations Team San Joaquin Navy Reserve unit. The two-week event consisted of classroom and hands-on training, with a focus on DLA Distribution and mobilization training.

San Joaquin graduates its leaders in High Performance Leadership

TRACY, California — DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., held a graduation ceremony for 106 graduates for the Foundations of High Performing Leadership training. All managers, supervisors and American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 1546 leaders attended the two-week session.
