PHILADELPHIA — The leadership team from U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command visited Philadelphia March 16 to learn more about how DLA Troop Support helps the command ensure soldiers’ medical readiness.

DLA stocks hospital ship with pharmaceuticals in support of Puerto Rico relief mission

PHILADELPHIA — When the USNS Comfort arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Oct. 3 to assist in humanitarian relief efforts, it was stocked with pharmaceuticals provided by Medical supply chain professionals at DLA Troop Support.

Medical employee maintains cold chain, saves money, earns DOD award

PHILADELPHIA — When DLA sends vaccines and drugs to military medical facilities, Dana Dallas ensures there are no weak links in the cold chain. The Medical supply chain employee earned the Defense Department’s Packaging Excellence Award in a ceremony in Rockaway, N.J., May 10.

DLA, DHA, services collaborate to improve military healthcare through standardization

PHILADELPHIA — Medical standardization across DOD improves clinical outcomes, enhances readiness and training, controls costs and improves DOD-wide interoperability, a DHA official said as more than 100 military medical professionals gathered in Philadelphia recently for a standardization workshop.

DLA Troop Support Medical employees meet with customers at U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan during a visit to Pacific Region customers in May. The visit was an opportunity to provide face-to-face customer service to military hospitals in the region.
