Employee makes hundreds of cloth facemasks for coworkers

RICHMOND, Va. — To help stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, Charlotte Bell, an American Sign Language interpreter and equal employment opportunity specialist who works for Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, made about 500 facemasks since early April 2020 for her co-workers.

Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Richmond’s Warehouse 11 is considered a historic building at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The nearly 270,000-square-foot facility stores bulk material, parachutes and energy-dissipating pads for the Defense Department. World War II-era warehouse at Richmond depot to get major overhaul

NORFOLK, Va. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Defense Logistics Agency are teaming up on a project to restore a Defense Supply Center Richmond warehouse built in 1942.
