Services deploys with field kitchen for Hurricane Maria recovery

KENTUCKY AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Louisville, Ky. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 123rd Airlift Wing website — Seven Airmen from the Kentucky Air Guard’s 123rd Services Flight arrived in Puerto Rico Oct. 11 to assist with hurricane relief efforts by cooking meals for Soldiers from the Puerto Rico National Guard.

ARLINGTON, Va. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — With Hurricane Mariafollowing a similar path as Hurricane Irma, the Virgin Islands National Guard is once again preparing for another massive storm; this one, coming at St. Croix instead of St. Thomas and St. John.

Soldiers of 3rd Battalion, 133rd Field Artillery Regiment based in El Paso, Texas with first responders, the Cajun Navy and civilian volunteers tirelessly work points of distribution as relief teams to provide Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey more than 18,000 cases of water daily and nearly 320,000 pounds of ice, and tens of thousands of pounds of donated necessities, such as toilet paper, baby food and diapers, tarps, hygiene items, clothing and cleaning supplies, Sept. 3 2017.
