University of Akron Engineering & Engineering Technology Career Fair: Spring 2020

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Engineering and Technical Support Directorate participated in the Engineering and Engineering Technology Career Fair at the University of Akron on Feb. 11. This event connected 177 employers with more than 1,060 engineering students seeking internships and full-time employment.

2020 Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges CareerFest

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime participated in the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges CareerFest Jan. 31 at the Ohio Expo Center’s Kasich Hall. Employers who attended this career fest were offered the opportunity to meet high caliber undergraduate students seeking internships. People and Culture recruiters Dan Hayden and David Lanzillota spoke with more than 150 potential applicants who visited the booth over the four-hour period.

DLA Land and Maritime Academy focuses on Warfighter First

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John Palmer opened the DLA Land and Maritime Academy by shaking hands with each attendee at the Oct. 22 event. He reminded them of the importance of our mission - Warfighter First. The academy serves to increase DLA Land and Maritime employees understanding of our mission and how it’s accomplished.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The September New Employee Orientation was held Sept. 25-26 in Building 20. The session was attended by 15 new associates from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Installation Services and J8C. There was some unexpected excitement and hands on activity when a fire drill followed the Defense Supply Center Columbus Fire Department presentation!

COLUBMUS, Ohio — The Defense Logistics Agency participated in the Careerfest 2019 Oct. 4 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Many employers had the opportunity to visit with college seniors and juniors to discuss possible employment and college internships.

DLA Land and Maritime August New Employees

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime New Employee Orientation was held Aug. 28-29 in the Operation Center’s Buckeye Room. There were 19 new employees from a variety of disciplines. For the first time, associates from J8’s Finance also participated. DLA Land and Maritime Director of Operations Griff Warren opened the two-day orientation by welcoming all of the new employees.
