Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime recruiters attended the Central State University’s 2018 Fall Career and Internship fair located in Wilberforce, Ohio, Oct. 17. Central State University is Ohio’s only publicly funded historically black university, named in honor of the great abolitionist William Wilberforce.

Engineers rally over Sailors to win Navy’s annual regatta

The Bullship went belly up and a fast-moving shark named Hat Trick prevailed at Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s 4th annual Navy Cardboard Regatta held Oct. 11 at DSCC. The race is held annually on the U.S. Navy’s birthday and showcases a range of watercraft created by Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, veterans and civilians using nothing more than duct tape and cardboard. The race is open to all tenants and this year’s cardboard fleet featured a dozen teams from DLA Land and Maritime, the Navy Recruiting District Ohio and the DFAS– Columbus.

DSCC associate saves life on commute home

We’ve all heard the saying, “It’s all about being in the right place at the right time,” but these words couldn’t be truer for Daniel McCombs. It was dark outside and he was focused on ensuring the safety of the witnesses. This is when he noticed the car on flames and heard someone was still inside, he immediately went into response mode – trying to figure out how to save the driver.
