Defense Supply Center Columbus provides COVID-19 vaccine to workforce

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After weeks of coordination, Defense Supply Center Columbus has begun COVID-19 vaccinations for DSCC personnel. First doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines were administered March 30. Partnerships between the Defense Logistics Agency, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Ohio Army National Guard resulted in the activation of the local vaccination site.

Defense Supply Center Columbus celebrates Women’s History Month

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Supply Center Columbus celebrated its Women’s History Month Program virtually March 24 and featured Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry as its guest speaker. The event was live streamed and the theme for this year’s program was Making Monumental History in 2021.

Columbus emergency professionals honored at DLA Annual Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Eight Columbus employees and two teams garnered top honors in the 53rd Annual Employee Recognition Awards announced by the Defense Logistics Agency. Due to current health guidelines, employees received recognition via a virtual ceremony that is scheduled to be released later this month. As part of that recognition, DLA Land and Maritime is highlighting several Columbus recipients each week. The second group includes two emergency professionals and the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ fire department.
