Blog: Bloomer left his mark during 45-year legacy of service

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Every so often we’re forever graced with an exceptional person. A person that quietly walks into our lives and permanently leaves their mark. That’s David Bloomer, a supervisory contract specialist with Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Land Supplier Operations. His entrance to the Power Transmissions team in November 2017 was almost unperceived since he walked into the office and cheerfully said a soft “hello.” But from day one his manner, work ethic, personality and friendship has captured our minds and hearts. Let’s take a moment to illustrate the impact we’ve experienced so you may have a glimpse into our loss occurring October 1 when he retires.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As part of National Preparedness Month, all personnel are encouraged to sign up for Local County Alerts for the county they reside and work. These systems are used to alert users of a terrorist situation, an emergency in a suburb, weather alerts or any emergency. COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Supply Center Columbus is hosting a POW/MIA event in the Operations Center Auditorium Sept. 21. Guest speaker Strategic International Coordinator (Southeast Asia) at the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Accounting Agency Jack Kull will speak on current operations in Asia and around the world. He will also show a video explaining more about DPAA.
