Three former associates inducted into the 2018 DLA Land and Maritime Hall of Fame

Three former Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associates joined the Land and Maritime Hall of Fame at the Defense Supply Center Columbus Building 20 Auditorium May 24. Associates joined the ceremony to honor the newest members and celebrate their 110 combined years of federal service; 77 of those years at Land and Maritime and its legacy organizations.

Operation Cookie Drop

The Defense Supply Center Columbus Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s 2018 Operation Cookie Drop distributed nearly 800 cases of cookies donated by the Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland to more than 3,100 service members from 19 units (platoon, company, battalion and brigade level) in Central Ohio.

Two associates complete Advanced Tactical Operations Medical Specialist course at the Ohio Fire Academy

Tactical Emergency Medical Services is nothing new to the Department of Defense. For years, combat medics have been providing lifesaving care during combat operations in less than ideal conditions. Today, civilian medics are taking the knowledge that’s been gained from the battlefront and using it to save the lives of victims involved in hostile events where large loss of blood is a concern and survivability is limited to minutes.
