Employees must play an active role in creating a safe and supportive workplace, Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch said in a recent blog highlighting the prevention of sexual harassment and assault.

Agency director observes Army divestiture efforts

FORT BLISS, Texas — DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch observed the divestiture of Army property over to DLA Distribution and DLA Disposition Services during his April 5 visit to Fort Bliss, Texas, one of the first sites to start the process.

The Subsistence Culture Improvement Team developed a newsletter based on employee feedback from the 2014 Culture Survey. The newsletter is intended to help bridge the communication gap between the Customer and Supplier directorates within the supply chain.

Susquehanna graduates more than 140 from High Performing Leadership course

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — On March 18, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution graduated more than 140 of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa.’s, supervisors from the High Performing Leadership – Phase 1 program.

Navy and Subsistence prime vendor personnel load the USS Stennis with food March 16 before the aircraft carrier departs Naval Base Busan, Republic of Korea, for Operation Foal Eagle. The annual training exercise promotes the partnership between the United States and South Korea.

Future Operations Material Accountability chief retires after more than 30 years of service

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Honoring her more than 30 years of service, friends, family, and coworkers gathered to celebrate the retirement of DLA Distribution’s Future Operation Material Accountability chief, Denise Kurtz, on March 24. Kurtz received the DLA Meritorious Civilian Service award for her contributions to the organization.
