NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — A DLA Distribution Expeditionary team recently deployed to Texas to provide support to U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency’s wide range of services, supplies, and disaster relief following Hurricane Harvey, a Category-4 hurricane that formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in southeastern Texas with wind speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.

Richmond employees help local community
Richmond, Va — Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, employees organized a group of givers who helped students in need by contributing school supplies to the local Bensley Elementary School. Employees from the Customer Intelligence-Focused Team in the DLA Aviation Planning Process Directorate donated the items and volunteers donated their time Aug. 29 to deliver the items.
