Stock positioning, retail support discussed during DLA J3 executive director’s visit to Distribution

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — George Atwood, Senior Executive Service, Defense Logistics Agency J3 executive director, visited DLA Distribution headquarters on Feb. 24 to discuss several important topics to the agency, and to see distribution in action at the Susquehanna facility.

Troop Support commander discusses leadership with Rutgers cadets

New Brunswick, N.J. — The commander of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support emphasized the importance of military fundamentals to ROTC cadets at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Feb. 23. Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton advised the cadets that to be successful, officers must ensure their units are highly fit, highly trained and highly disciplined.

Iowa air refueling wing supports NATO

NATO AIR BASE GEILENKIRCHEN, Germany (AFNS) — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force website — This month, members of the Iowa Air National Guard's 185th Air Refueling Wing based in Sioux City, Iowa, are refueling NATO Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft while assigned to NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen, Germany.

Distribution headquarters hosts Aviation commander

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan E. Day, commander of DLA Aviation visited DLA Distribution Feb. 22 for an overview of DLA Distribution, and a tour of DoD’s largest warehouse, the Eastern Distribution Center at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania.
