Boosting the future video debuts

From satellites to fighter jets, from aerostats to Mars rockets, DLA Aerospace Energy provides the fuel for extreme operating environments, whether in space or in the air. A new video highlights this mission and features two compelling testimonies from customers at the DHS and Dover Air Force Base.

Fuel trucks and trailers are staged at the request of FEMA at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, which served as an incident support base during Hurricane Florence. Items were provided by DLA and overseen by DLA Energy and DLA Distribution personnel.

DSCC certified as a Tree City USA

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DSCC was certified as a Tree City USA Feb. 19. The Tree City USA program is a program sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service and state forestry that provides the framework necessary for communities to manage and expand their urban forest.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — You may have noticed some new faces around DLA Land and Maritime. Eleven new employees, ranging from police officers, purchasing agents to public affairs specialist attended the New Employee Orientation on Feb 27 and 28.

Joseph Carter, an occupational safety and health manager assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, spent two months in Antarctica on a mission to improve safety procedures for the Airmen of the New York Air National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing, giving them a better chance to survive and operate in the most inhospitable place on Earth.
