The neurobiology of trauma, its emotional and physical manifestation and how it affects sexual assault survivors over their life-span, was the topic of a Defense Logistics Agency Energy lunch and learn session May 1. Heather Turner, the Pentagon’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Coordinator, led an interactive discussion on how the brain is impacted by trauma.

DLA Distribution employees respond during HAZMAT exercise in Germersheim

Employees at DLA Distribution Europe conducted HAZMAT training at their main facility at the Germersheim Army Depot. The training took place as DDDE officials wait for German authorities to permit expansion of their HAZMAT storage capacity to support NATO and other military readiness requirements.

DLA Aviation parts support ensures tankers available for aerial refueling mission

The Air Force’s aerial refueling capability recently expanded with the delivery of the KC-46A Pegasus aircraft to McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas, in January. Bill Knepshield has been working to ensure Defense Logistics Agency has parts support in place for the Pegasus since early 2014.

Agency supports East African relief efforts

Mozambique is back in the news as Cyclone Kenneth batters the Eastern African nation just six weeks after Cyclone Idai caused an estimated 600 deaths and left many at risk of cholera and without adequate drinking water.
