2019 Shred Day success

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DSCC Environmental Division collaborated with MWR to save 27 cubic yards of paper from entering the local landfill May 15. Shred Day was open to all DSCC associates for personal shredding and employees recycled 13,165 pounds of paper, which is equivalent to 6.5 tons.

DSCC Installation CPR and AED Training Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The training and existence of voluntary First Response Team members lessens the impact of sudden cardiac arrest by supporting employee and worksite preparedness and response and optimizing a person’s chance for survival. Team members are volunteers, who are currently certified. Responsibilities include providing CPR, the use of an AED or Heimlich Maneuver for choking in an emergency situation to associates who are in need of assistance until emergency personnel arrive. Associates can register for a class by calling the Building 21 Health Clinic at 614-701-5104.

Susquehanna MWR kicks off Commander’s Cup with “Armed Forces Day” 5K Run/Walk

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — In recognition of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month and to kick off the 2019 Commander’s Cup Series, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosted an “Armed Forces Day” 5K Fun Run/Walk May 16. Forty-four participants competed in the run/walk.
