Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Eielson Air Force Base website — During RED FLAG-Alaska, there is a significant increase in flightline operations where aircraft refueling vehicles are in constant demand and fire trucks are always on standby in case of an emergency. The Airmen from the 354th Logistics Readiness Squadron Vehicle Management are responsible for maintaining these vehicles.

Tyler selected as new DLA Aviation Commander

Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler has been selected to serve as the next Defense Logistics Agency Aviation commander at Richmond, Virginia. He will replace Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford, whose next assignment will be director of logistics, engineering and force protection for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

DSCC MWR’s Operation Cookie Drop gives Ohio military a big thank you for Military Appreciation Month

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, the Defense Supply Center Columbus Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s annual Operation Cookie Drop distributes hundreds of cases of Girl Scout cookies donated by the Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland each May. This year, the Girl Scouts and DSCC MWR distributed 1300 cases of cookies to about 5,600 service members from 32 units (large and small) throughout Ohio.
