DSCC associates find mission connections at National U.S. Air Force Museum

COLUMBUS, Ohio — About two dozen Defense Supply Center Columbus employees from Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, DLA Logistics Operations, DLA Human Resources and DLA Training gained a deeper connection to the DLA mission during a tour June 18 of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

New leadership at the helm in San Diego

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Navy Capt. Phoebe Tamayo took command during a ceremony held at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, California, as all present bid fair winds and following seas to Navy Capt. Cielo Almanza, who relinquished command and retired after 27 years of service.

DLA Distribution employee recognized for excellence

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — Perry Knight, deputy commander, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, presented Elizabeth Eldredge, chief, Command Support, DLA Distribution, with the DLA Meritorious Civilian Service Award during a ceremony held at DLA Distribution headquarters June 27.

Airmen from across the 193rd Special Operations Wing facilitated a simulated key leader engagement for Exercise Iron Keystone 2024 at Fort Drum’s Combined Arms Collective Training Facility, June 8, 2024. Pennsylvania Air Guard Enhances Ops at Iron Keystone Exercise

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard Bureau news website — Airmen assigned to the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s three wings participated in Exercise Iron Keystone 2024 with more than 90 from the 193rd Special Operations Wing taking part at a simulated forward operating base in Fort Drum, NY. Iron Keystone is a proof-of-concept exercise that brings together all three Pennsylvania based air wings geographically separated. This year’s exercise aimed to increase tactical proficiency, develop a baseline knowledge in various operations and combine capabilities and resources across three major commands to maximize operational success on today's battlefield.

Kentucky Guard Engineers Support Djibouti Armed Forces

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard Bureau news website — Engineers from the Kentucky Army National Guard welcomed their counterparts from the Djibouti Armed Forces during the unit’s annual training event at Camp Dodge, Iowa. The 206th Engineer Battalion, part of the 149th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, showcased how they set up a battalion-sized command post and conduct a field training exercise. The DAF officers, with aspirations to form their own engineer battalion, observed the Kentucky engineers while gaining insights on command and control, logistics, personnel accountability, operations and communication.
