Field rep uses ‘melon’ to provide DLA customers with fresh produce

PHILADELPHIA — Joseph Miler once held the record at the Kentucky State Fair for growing the largest watermelon. But Miller doesn’t use his produce expertise just to set records. He also uses it to support the warfighter and other customers as a Subsistence field rep.

Paul Zebrowski cited rebuilding the DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles industrial base as the most difficult challenge he faced in his 34 years with the agency.

PHILADELPHIA — The Medical supply chain's national contracts team has churned out hundreds of millions of dollars in savings through long-term contracts for generic drugs, while ensuring drug availability for customers.

NPM event focuses on workplace preparedness

PHILADELPHIA — It is important to be prepared for an emergency because you never know when a disaster will strike, an emergency management officer said at DLA Troop Support’s annual National Preparedness Month event Sept. 8

Students enjoy fresh produce provided through the Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. The program allows schools to order fresh produce from DLA Troop Support’s Subsistence supply chain using U.S. Department of Agriculture entitlement funds.

Philadelphia — As another school year starts, DLA Troop Support is set to provide fresh produce for students at approximately 12,000 schools throughout the U.S. In a partnership with the USDA, Subsistence provides produce to schools in 48 states.
