Warehousing Group chief selected as San Joaquin deputy commander

SAN JOAQUIN, California — Susan Earle has been selected as DLA Distribution San Joaquin deputy commander.

Sandra Stephens, supply technician at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Inventory Management Civilian of the Year award for her knowledge and technical expertise within the Inventory Action Team.

Laskodi makes inaugural visit to Anniston distribution center

ANNISTON, Alabama — On July 13-14, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. John Laskodi made his inaugural visit to DLA Distribution Anniston, Ala., to meet employees, discuss small arms operations, and see the distribution center’s wall-to-wall weapons inventory in action.

Distribution’s Ballesteros one of DLA’s first recognized by Navy advancement program

YOKOSUKA, Japan — On July 1, Christopher Ballesteros officially became one of DLA’s first Sailors recognized by the Navy’s Meritorious Advancement Program, or MAP.

The depot as it looked from 1953 until the mid-1980’s. The row of four warehouses in the top right were known as the “Golden Mile” and built at the end of the Korean War.

Million-tire milestone
