Reservists assist in special HAZMAT mission at Susquehanna

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — In a ceremony officiated by Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commander Army Brig. Gen. Richard Dix, 11 Navy and Air Force reservists were presented awards for their time spent at DLA Distribution Susquehanna assisting with hazardous material packing.

Denny McGuire, a materials examiner and identifier at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., has been named Employee of the Week for the week of May 30 to June 3.

Hildrich to depart Sigonella for new Distribution mission

SIGONELLA, Italy — After serving as DLA Distribution Sigonella, Italy’s deputy commander for more than two years, Fred Hildrich will be departing for a new mission.

Susquehanna installation welcomes new First Sergeant

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — The newest Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna installation senior enlisted advisor took the reins in a May 13 ceremony.

Arnold Wicker of the 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power) attaches cables to a power transfer box while installing generators at a Carteret, New Jersey power plant that lost power during Hurricane Sandy Nov. 6, 2012. DLA provided additional power generators to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to aid in the recovery effort.
