DLA earns DoD recognition for hiring people with disabilities

Distribution’s Ballesteros one of DLA’s first recognized by Navy advancement program

YOKOSUKA, Japan — On July 1, Christopher Ballesteros officially became one of DLA’s first Sailors recognized by the Navy’s Meritorious Advancement Program, or MAP.

The depot as it looked from 1953 until the mid-1980’s. The row of four warehouses in the top right were known as the “Golden Mile” and built at the end of the Korean War.
