DLA firefighters save lives in New Cumberland apartment fire

As fire raged through an apartment building on 813 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Defense Logistics Agency firefighters assigned to DLA Installation Management Susquehanna Fire & Emergency Services responded to the fire alarm at 7:26 a.m. Dec. 30. Initial reports from the scene identified a fire in a first-floor apartment and multiple victims trapped on the second floor.

Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year for San Joaquin County

Firefighter/Engineer Joseph Guerrero and Police Sgt. Ken-Ken DeVera from Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management San Joaquin, California, were recognized as San Joaquin County’s 2022 Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year during a community recognition dinner hosted by the Tracy American Legion Post 172, March 26. Guerrero will now compete for Regional Firefighter of the Year honors.
