Virginia National Guard breaks ground for new headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Under a blazing sun and the high heat of a typical late summer day in Virginia, military and government leaders broke ground for the Virginia National Guard headquarters building at the Defense Supply Center Richmond August 17.

DLA Land and Maritime presents annual plan to agency director

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Senior leaders at Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime presented their Annual Operating Plan to the director of the agency Aug. 16 during a morning presentation at Defense Supply Center Columbus. Land and Maritime directors and supervisors presented DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch with detailed information demonstrating their progress in achieving his five stated goals for mission success.

Aviation Leader Commentary: One team, one victory

Richmond, Va. — Why do we do what we do? Obviously supporting our families and preparing for our future and retirement are motivations for many of us. I have two daughters in college, so I know how important that paycheck is. But that is not why I work at the Defense Logistics Agency.

He is competing as a member of the Puerto Rican National Olympic Team at this summer’s Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro in honor of his maternal grandfather who born in Puerto Rico and passed away two years ago.
