Rchmond, Va. — Four Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Logistics Career Broadening Program members visited Salt Lake City, Utah, March 9-11 to learn about challenges in sustaining legacy weapon systems and expanding capabilities to meet future demands. After their site visit, they attend the Logistics Officers Association Symposium in Salt Lake City.

DLA Installation Management Richmond site director visits Pennsylvania, reviewing inventory and future requirements

Richmond, Va. — David Gibson, site director for Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond, Virginia, traveled to DLA Aviation’s Industrial Plant Equipment Services Division in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, May 9 – 12 to conduct a review of inventory and requirements for an upcoming general equipment compliance visit from DLA Headquarters later this fiscal year.

Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, May 10-11 for the annual Senior Executive Partnership Round Table to discuss challenges and accomplishments in support of warfighters across the DLA landscape over the past year.

Tyler selected as new DLA Aviation Commander

RICHMOND, Va. — Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler has been selected to serve as the next Defense Logistics Agency Aviation commander at Richmond, Virginia. He will replace Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford, whose next assignment will be director of logistics, engineering and force protection for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

DLA Aviation at San Diego team members welcome new commander

Richmond, Va. — San Diego team members from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation gathered April 22 to welcome Navy Commander Fred Albesa as their new commander, while saying farewell to Navy Commander Maxine Gardner who assumed command in 2020.
