DLA Land and Maritime Recruiter attends Cleveland Careerfest

The Defense Logistics Agency participated in the Careerfest 2019 Oct. 4 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Many employers had the opportunity to visit with college seniors and juniors to discuss possible employment and college internships.

DLA Land and Maritime August New Employees

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime New Employee Orientation was held Aug. 28-29 in the Operation Center’s Buckeye Room. There were 19 new employees from a variety of disciplines. For the first time, associates from J8’s Finance also participated. DLA Land and Maritime Director of Operations Griff Warren opened the two-day orientation by welcoming all of the new employees.

Engineers defend title at annual boat race

To fans of the late 60s comedy Gilligan’s Island, the crew of the SS Minnow were known for their doomed “three-hour tour” that ended with them shipwrecked and marooned on an uncharted island. But for fans of the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Navy Cardboard Regatta, the two-man crew of the re-tooled SS “Winnow” are known as four-time champions of the center’s annual boat race in celebration of the U.S Navy’s 244th birthday.

DLA PaCE graduates on pathway to success

The DLA PaCE graduation marked the end of one path and the start of another for nine graduates in Battle Creek, Michigan. While most of the PaCE graduates fill various roles around the world for DLA upon graduation, Group 34 is unique. The entire class is graduating from and entering positions in Battle Creek.
