DLA Fire and EMS professionals educate employees on fire safety

Richmond, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond’s Fire and Emergency Services is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign. This year’s theme is “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!”

DLA Construction and Equipment is always prepared to help fight against wildfires

This year, the annual wildfire season has been less active, with about 28 percent fewer acres of land burning during the season than the 10-year average, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Despite this decrease in fire activity, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Construction and Equipment supply chain remains ready in case disaster strikes.

Portable electronic devices not allowed in areas approved for classified material

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Portable electronic devices can pose a security threat by allowing sensitive or classified information to be compromised. DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams recently signed a policy restricting use of PEDs in agency-owned or controlled spaces approved for classified information storage and processing.
