Key West Conducts Mobile Logistics Demonstration

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command website — USS Key West (SSN 722) conducted a mobile logistics demonstration with the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE-4) in Apra Harbor, Guam Dec. 10 in the second forward-deployed logistics demonstration designed to evaluate supply ships’ ability to sustain submarine operations in an expeditionary setting.

Prior to administering the oath, Cannon and his senior leadership team took a moment to get to know the new associates and provide words of wisdom as they start their new career path. A common theme of advice to the class members was to be open to opportunities -- whether it be a new area of interest or moving site locations—to get outside of their respective comfort zones, to grow, to find mentors and be mentors themselves.
