DLA Aviation hosts future agents of change for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Richmond, Va. — From youngsters and tweens to teens, over 150 sons and daughters of Defense Logistics Agency employees from Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia swarmed the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center April 26 to participate in “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” Hosted by the DLA Aviation Customer Operations Directorate and Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, the event this year ran under the theme “Service Force: Agents of Positive Change.”

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the 419th Fighter Wing website — The 67th Aerial Port Squadron is made up of nearly 200 reservists specially trained to handle cargo and passengers aboard military aircraft traveling around the world.

Luis Pena serves as the lone full-time civil servant for the Defense Logistics Agency in Puerto Rico. He helps military units shed their excess and used equipment and gets rid of their scrap metal. Here, he evaluates the pending scrap removal demands at Camp Santiago, which was one of the island's military installations hardest hit by Hurricane Maria in 2017.
